Attempted Break-In at Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition Offices Raises Security Concerns
👁️ 20,570 views
On the morning of August 7, four masked men attempted to break into the offices of Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition (CiZC), an organization advocating for democratic freedom in a nation where dissent can be deadly. Inside the Harare office, three staff members scrambled to hide as the intruders destroyed a security camera outside the gate and tried to force entry. The staff only emerged from hiding after neighbors, who witnessed the incident, assured them that the men had fled after triggering an alarm. Since the attempted break-in, staff members have been avoiding the office out of fear for their safety.
