Algoa Cabinda Fabrication Services Backs Angola Oil & Gas 2025 as Bronze Sponsor

Algoa Cabinda Fabrication Services has confirmed its participation as a Bronze Sponsor for the upcoming Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2025 conference, scheduled to take place from September 3 to 4 in Luanda. This partnership highlights the company’s dedication to the development of Angolas energy sector and its long-term investment in local oil and gas infrastructure.


In a major milestone earlier this year, Algoa Cabinda successfully delivered the South N’dola wellhead platform for the Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, a Chevron affiliate. Built to serve Angolas offshore Block 0, the fixed-braced platform comprises 12 production wells and a monobore design that links directly with the Mafumeira platform. This installation has enhanced operational efficiency by ensuring a direct resource flow to the Malongo terminal and the Angola LNG facility, reflecting Algoas expertise in integrated fabrication solutions.


Widely recognized as Angolas premier oil and gas industry event, the AOG conference enjoys strong backing from national institutions such as the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, the National Oil, Gas and Biofuels Agency, the Petroleum Derivatives Regulatory Institute, Sonangol, and the African Energy Chamber. Prior to the South Ndola project, Algoa Cabinda played a key role in delivering the Lifua-A wellhead platform, working alongside Cabinda Gulf Oil Company and other stakeholders operating in Block 0. Engineered with a durable steel jacket, the Lifua-A structure was designed for stability in rough offshore conditions and serves as a cost-effective solution for unlocking marginal oil reserves—part of Block 0s estimated 200 million barrels of recoverable resources.


As Angola intensifies its efforts to sustain oil production levels above one million barrels per day, the contribution of experienced service providers like Algoa Cabinda Fabrication Services becomes even more critical. In line with these ambitions, Angola is preparing to launch an international licensing round in 2025, offering up to ten exploration blocks across the Kwanza and Benguela basins.
