About
Collins Chabane Local Municipality was established by the amalgamation of portions of Thulamela Local Municipality and Makhado Local Municipality on 3 August 2016. The municipality shares borders with Musina in the north, Thulamela in the north-east, the Mopani District in the south, and Makhado in the west. It is one of the four municipalities in the district, making up 20% of its geographical area.
