The Department of Occupational Health & Safety deals with regulation of the condition of employment in Factories and other places as regards the safety health and welfare of persons employed therein and for the safety and inspection of certain plant and machinery and for the purposes incidental to or connected with matters aforesaid. So the department derives its mandated from the Factories Act CAP 44:01.
